HP has announced they intend to offer a refreshed version of the 11.6-inch HP Pavilion dm1 ultra-portable laptops starting on September 21st. The new refreshed dm1z laptops will have new AMD Fusion APUs from the Zacate E-series, the 1.3 GHz AMD dual-core E-300 and 1.65 GHz AMD dual-core E-450, but there will also be a new option for a 2nd gen. Intel Core i3 ULV processor too.

The new renditions of the HP Pavilion dm1 will be available with a starting price of $399.99 if you want AMD chips and $599 if you prefer the Intel Core i3 ULV chip. Also HP will offer the new models with two color options, Charcoal that will be available on the 21st and Black (soft touch) which will be released later this Fall.
Full specifications haven’t been released but HP has only seen fit to announce the new processors, so it’s safe to assume the rest of the tech specs. will carry over from the current dm1 laptop. If that does happen then the new models will have HD (1366-by-768) LED back-lit screens, DDR3 RAM, no optical drives (photos confirm that much), 3x USB ports, HDMI, VGA, RJ-45 Ethernet jacks, integrated webcams, and multi memory card readers.
