Laptop’s fans in South Florida and elsewhere got cheering news about a suit of future laptops offerings by Apple. On Wednesday, October 20, Steve Jobs, the torrid CEO for Cupertino Computer maker, has unveiled four new highly expected products from his Company. These include: ultralight MacBook Air Laptops, operating system Mac OS X Leo (10.7), application suite life 11 and leisure software for Mac FaceTime.
Operating system Mac OS X Leo (10.7) will be ready to ship next summer, but some features have already been showed. As analysts had predicted, all Macs will be gradually equipped with an operating system equivalent to iPad Touch Tablet. As is customarily, an “App Store,” emulating iPhone, will be available for "Facility updating of Mac applications.
The new MacBook Air is a little lighter, has greater battery life than previous MAC laptop models. Apple has included a default SSD (flash), which consumes less energy than a standard hard drive with a larger battery capacity. "MacBook Air is a latest generation laptop that replaces mechanical rotating storages with flash storage," said Mr. Jobs. These two new notebooks, models 11 and 13 inch, even if priced higher than competitors, attack the market segment between US $1,250 and US$2,000.
“iLife software suite 11” includes updates: iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand. This three-star software includes an ability to manage photograph collections, edit videos and produce music recordings. Finally, FaceTime on Mac enables Apple computer users to communicate by videoconference with iPhone and iPod Touch owners. Let’s hope these innovative products benefit present and future clientele.
